Climate change, peak oil, drought, energy descent - be part of Sunshine Coast solutions to these critical issues.

Welcome to CASSC - the relocalisation group for 'Creating a Sustainable Sunshine Coast - Nambour to Mooloolah' - on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia.

CASSC (covering the communities of Nambour, Palmwoods, Chevallum, Eudlo and Mooloolah) is part of an ever expanding world-wide relocalisation network and aims to bring people together by promoting the supply of locally produced food, products and services, home food production, regional preparedness for energy descent and lobbying for local and state government preparedness policy and legislative changes. It's the ultimate in think global - act local.

CASSC has strong links with local, national and international groups who are all working on the same solutions through a broad range of energy descent activities.

I have been working hard behind the scenes setting many things in place and now there are some major developments right here on the Coast in relation to energy descent preparedness. There are now many innovative, positive, pro-active ways for you to get involved in the solutions to the problems we all face. Visit www.seac.net.au to find out more about free community events, information, education, courses, workshops - you name it.

Stay tuned and in contact - this will only work if people become involved and do something.

If you are interested in being part of planning and action strategies for Sunshine Coast energy descent preparedness and climate change, please contact the group coordinator, Sonya Wallace.
